The Warm Industrial Aesthetic

The perfect example of a warm industrial interior...  *swoooon*  Clean white walls, rich timber floors & dark furniture provide the perfect backdrop for an eclectic collection of vintage trunks, colourful tribal floor rug, and intriguing personal affects.  The industrial style, no-fuss light fittings and exposed plumbing in the bathroom are also strong elements in this space.

Check out our latest Industrial style set of drawers - reclaimed vintage architects drawers originally used to store architectural plans and documentation.  A gorgeous dove grey metal cabinet complete with feature paintwork and drawer labels. 

We found this gem in an old warehouse and decided to breath some new life into it. The original paint work is a beautiful dove grey, which we've sanded back slightly on the edges to reveal the bright bare metal beneath.   We then embellished with black and white stripes and light blue stenciled lettering, tipping our hats to the plan notations of the architect.  Lastly it was completely sealed in a gloss clear coat, to create an awesome one off industrial-style piece.  The piece of course had scratches and a few minor dings from wear & tear over the years - which we loved, as these all work to enhance the worn, reclaimed industrial look and give the piece a real sense of authenticity! 

Due to it's age, internally there are some small spots of surface rust (they can't be seen from the outside) that we have treated with anti-rust to prevent further damage.

It's in full working order (one or two of the drawers are slightly stiff but otherwise perfect) and one of the drawer handles is missing so we cleverly featured this with a stenciled 'x' marks the spot!  

We had a lot of fun watching this piece come to life... but it was a lot of work!  It's huge and rather heavy sitting at 

970mm Deep x 1400mm Wide x 550mm High!  As always, we'd love to keep it as our own... but alas of course we are selling it!  It's currently listed on ebay here if you're interested in giving this cabinet a loving home.
